Matthew Romans
Matthew is a level-one certified Super Slow® exercise instructor (this is possibly the most thorough
and rigorous national certification programs). He also holds two other certifications, one through the National Strength Professionals
Association and one through the American Council on Exercise. Matthew has been certified since 1999. Matthew attended Towson
University where he majored in kinesiology and played two seasons of varsity football. He has been personal training since
1999, and has worked at Washington Sports Clubs, The Fitness Company, Sport and Health, as well as for Elite Athlete Training
Systems(a company specializing in preparing athletes for their respective sports). Matthew uses Super Slow® exercise protocol
with his clients, a method of training that involves raising and lowering the resistance in 10 seconds. This targets muscles
more effectively and makes the exercise safer and more productive. He believes this to be the most effective and scientific
way for a person to achieve all of their fitness goals.
